If multitouch is added, I probably jump to 32c and use it as my main mixing daw. Mixbus has a console feel to it and I feel like I should be able to control several controls at once.
Hopefully their tech support can help out. Without it seeing this, I cant use the program. I had the same problem with the Sonar demo. The bad news is it does not recognize my M Audio Midisport 4x4. Was able to put the project page on one monitor and the mixer on a 2nd monitor. Will have to spend more time with the program for them to show up. I was able to scan for plug ins and it found all my plugs in except for the BFD 3 software. Project page looks nice but it lacks some of the ions in Cubase to grab certain things like freeze or glue. But I could get used to the Mixbus way of working. I miss the Cubase function of hitting the edit button for a channel and the EQ shows you how a guitar or bass freq's across the screen with the plug ins on the left and inserts on the right. This is needed for me to consider using this program. I dont see the read/write for automation. I also liked that the inputs are on the top of the channel and outputs are at the bottom. When I switched back to Cubase, the mixer looked pretty lame in comparison. The mixer page looks like a real mixer while Cubase looks like this graphical impression of a mixer. Want to put a channel on a Mixbus 1, just increase the knob for Mixbus 1 on the channel. Working on the mixer page is very nice, and the Mixbus 1, -4 workflow is a great idea and very easy to use. The drive does add something nice that is different than the UAD Studer that I normally use. The faders are nice and the numbers on the faders seem to provide smoother volume increase and decrease. I like the mixer layout, feel and the way it works better than Cubase 8.5. I downloaded Mixbux 3C and tried it briefly.įirst impressions is very positive. Thanks for the reply, I'll take it for a test drive when I find some time. but we are here, willing to help/pioneer. It's an emerging market, for sure, and there are challenges regarding standards etc. I appreciate that there aren't any apple laptops or desktops with touch screens yet and that MacOS doesn't natively support touch screens yet, but I'm here to remind you guys that even though there aren't any macs with touch screens, there are plenty of engineers on macs, with touch screens.

It could complement my large touch screen, sure, but it's no replacement for a large touch screen.įor example, Pro Tools | Dock with an iPad seems like a joke to me compared to my 27" multi touch monitor with Pro Tools / DTouch or Raven. You can use a multitouch app to control Mixbus from a tablet ( like "DAW Remote HD" for iOS, or "TouchDAW" for android) We have not yet made multi-touch a priority because 55% of our users are on Mac, and there are no mac laptops or desktops with multitouch monitors, yet.
